What's Needed

First, we now have our own team of lobbyists who are on the ground
in Washington, D.C. full-time, focused solely on informing and
influencing public policy.

Next, the movement needs an effective political communications
campaign designed by these experts in the art of politics and
lobbying.  With the political power of increasing numbers behind
them, our lobbyists will execute the campaign, delivering clear,
values-based communications that inspire lawmakers and move them
to take actions that will improve the health of the American People.

Finally, Coalition members will be asked by our lobbyists to contact
their own Representatives and Senators when grassroots
communications are needed to demonstrate the will of the People.
Why the American Wellness Coalition

The Coalition and its lobbyists are needed to increase the amount of
expertise and firepower we the People of the United States and the
Natural Health and Health Freedom movements have in the lobbying
war against the American Medical Association (AMA), physician
organizations and pharmaceutical companies.  It's that simple.

We're not here to replace or compete with any of the trade
associations, groups and individuals who have been in the trenches,
communicating truths about Natural Health and Health Freedom, and
activating grassroots advocacy efforts designed to persuade elected
leaders to do the right thing.  They've done a heroic job.

We're here to supplement their efforts, to help them win this war in
which they've been outnumbered and outgunned.  Organized medicine
and its allies have a massive army of lobbyists, more resources and they
mastered the art of politics and lobbying decades ago.

The fact is, the Natural Health and Health Freedom messages have not
gotten through to Members of Congress.  Organized medicine and its
allies long ago became the entrenched authorities on health care in
America, and have since been winning legislative victory after victory,
often by massive margins.  So much so it's safe to say that public policy
in the American health care field is informed exclusively by organized
medicine.

The Coalition and its lobbyists bring to the table experts in the art of
politics and lobbying.  We greatly increase the chances of successfully
defending our health from attacks in the coming years.
